Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave 2018 - Sustainable Growth in a New Era

Event Starts in:

2016 will go down history as a special year for the Indian two-wheeler industry, for it was the year when India reached pole position in terms of scale among all global markets. It was also the year India witnessed an exclusive event for its two-wheeler industry - Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave 2016 - Entering A New Era.

A new era, in terms of regulations, market trends, customer preferences begins. Electric mobility, where two-wheelers are taking the lead, is a major emerging trend. The Indian EV market is at an inflection point now. OEMs and suppliers who get prepared now are the ones who will reap the benefits later. It's here that the government is going to play a key role too. Given the sheer scale of the Indian two-wheeler market (FY2017: 17.5 million units, electrifying two-wheelers would have a big impact on cleaning the environment.

Then there's the BS VI regulation waiting to meet the industry in 2020. A big challenge it may be to prepare for the new emission norm in record time, but meeting the deadline in record time would mean achieving a sharp learning curve and, of course, creating a world record!

Simultaneously, the marketplace is also entering a new era. Young customers, some with tastes that are very different/radical, are entering the riding age. They speak a totally different language in terms of technology, design or even mobility. The once motorcycle-dominated industry continues to get scooterised as families and youngsters opt for easy-to-ride scooters, some trendy, and some with multi-utility features and low maintenance costs. Conventional retail channels are undergoing some changes too, while some alternate channels are taking shape in a digital world.

Overall, the Indian two-wheeler market space is getting more interesting and exciting. It is set to see some major developments which will change the contours of the industry. In such dynamic times, incremental efforts or conventional strategies may not yield the best results. New growth paths await those who think and act differently.

The Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave is an industry forum where policy makers, key representatives from OEMs, suppliers and dealers come together to discuss and debate a wide range of ideas and issues pertaining to this critical industry and take it to the next level. After a successful start in 2016 which saw participation of key OEMs like Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor, Yamaha, Triumph, Indian Motorcycles, Mahindra, suppliers like Varroc, AVL and start-ups like Ather Energy and Tork Motorcycles, Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave 2018 - Sustainable Growth in a New Era promises to be yet another interesting edition for all stakeholders of the Indian two-wheeler industry. Participate in it to benefit from insights and information that will help in developing smarter strategies for your business.
